Welcome to Seattle Widows
Seattle Widows is a Christian Support Group for widows.  We strive to lead widows to make connections, encourage one another, build resilience and continue living lives which lead to Biblical wholeness. We do this through meaningful discussion topics, social gatherings and activities, Bible and book studies, training for mentorships and encouraging supportive connections and outreach within our community and churches. Topics of discussion are meant to strengthen the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual health of each widow.

Meeting Plan and Organization
Seattle Widows will primarily meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 5pm at a home.  The topics for discussion will include subjects which help widows physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Food and drink will be provided by the widows.  There will be a welcome time, social time, meeting on topic time, speakers and discussion time. Once a month, a social will be held on the 4th Saturday at 4pm at a restaurant for the purpose of connecting and providing a time of fellowship. Once a year, a retreat may be planned by the leadership team. Additional activities for Seattle Widows include mentorships, intercessory prayer team, Bible Studies, weekly walks, hikes and theater as planned by the leadership team. Communication for changes with events will be found in our website. Our blog can be used for communication and support. Seattle Widows is a part of The Widows Project along with other widow groups in the Northwest.  Please refer to www.Thewidowsproject.org Seattle Widows is a formissional community with University Presbyterian Church.  See www.upc.org
